I think this is one of the best apps Ive downloaded to date. I hope the Joe makes more of these. Reminds me of the Books that I used to read over & over again and loved them back in the day. Cant wait for the next installment; or remake the books in this app to show people how it all started. That would be fantastic.
I really liked this game. The only negative aspect for me is that it is too short :(

A long and mysterious history, an excellent gaming, an unbelievable experience!
Ive been playing this game for awhile now, and I think its really great. The storytelling is really good and one highlight is that you have to think before every decision.
Some people criticized the battle system. I think its ok. It works well, but some actions are not precise. Also, sometimes your fingers blocks part of the screen and you dont know what action you have to do until it is too late. Also, the difficulty is sometimes too high, and monster attack you during your turn for no reason. I think the game needs more balancing.
Other issue poeple complain is the fact that the other acts are paid. I think that $5 dollars is high pice for one act by itself, considering most games in the store are bellow $1. Yet, for the amount of content and the storytelling of this game, it is acceptable. The price of the season pass is really good, since you pay only $10 for all the content.
The game is really good, and have a nica story and feel to it. I think the only problem here is balancing issues and interactions during combat. Congrats to the developers.
This is just an amazing I dont know why but people are missing out on this great game
The game is great! The story pulls you in and the music helps you feel like youre really in the environments. The fighting could use a little polish, mainly just the Q.T.E (quick time events) but other than that it is amazing to see the 2D illustration come to life in 3D. I highly suggest you pick this game up cause right after the fist fight in-game i went out bought an app card and got their all season pass. Hope you guys try it :)
Some bad moments
Its quite good at first. The graphics are nice, the combat system is challenging. The story is really bad. A typical run of the mill fantasy story withput any interesting characters or development. Something a 12 year old would come up with...what really makes this bad are the slide puzzles that get introduced later. They are completely forced and only implemented to stretch gaming time. Stay away if you dont like this stuff.
I knew the moment my options to attack were cut off mid choice in this TURN BASED RPG!! I was done. You can barely make a choice in the time allowed and sometimes you dont get any time, time pauses for sub choices and crap yet wont let you pause to chose an attack or let you pre select an attack during the wait so you wait for your slow rest bar till its your turn only to miss tapping the icon and just lose your turn.. Get successfully hit multiple times and just lose over and over. I can sit and make story choices in a timely manner yet I can get interrupted in the combat where you are forced to wait till you can proceed? Its not real time combat! STOP TRYING! the only thing that would ruin this game and it happened. I loved the rest and was gearing up to get into this game till I realized they turned against all the platforms strengths, portability, use ability, and piss it all away. I like the QTE, that timed action is fine. Iv made a choice and spent Im ready to watch the outcome but if you look away after an attack you cant block or dont notice the moment your turn comes your out of luck and thats just stupid. Im playing on a touch screen on a bus, also you can get cut off before the enemy even starts attacking, the controlled just get slapped away a (...) hovers over the attacker for 3 seconds and he gets an unblock able hit. I had a millisecond to make that choice and its over. The entire franchise is dead to me. Story had me invested, reading wasnt bothering me, I took my time to make choices that needed to be made quickly in the scenario yet I took a second to think it over. Combat just keeps throwing tutorials, after tutorial after QTE after QTE. I can barely express my sadness because I wanted to love this game and I did but its such a little thing that just destroyed all the effort, all the production value, all the writing down the crapper for no good reason. I dont want to play the combat but I would have if the worlds stupidest idea wasnt implemented in the worst way on the one console that struggles with that problem the most. I know it will never be fixed so I can only hope this review is read and maybe have my problem fixed and have something truly worth playing on my phone but they are onto episode 2 so no changing corse now. Im going to remove this game and keep looking for something like this Please contact me if this is addressed.
It does not work pure and simple..why put an update out when it does not work..cant even load my save games let alone play chapter 3 my advise stay clear of this app until the problems are corrected. Also kinda of strange that the company does not have the common curtesy to inform there customers that there is a major problem here
Bit of a rip off when you buy the full expansion, only to find out Act 3 & 4 werent available.
Now that Act 3 is finally out, it crashed often and now every time I kill the third boss. Killed him three times, crashed three times (on a IPad Air, even tried a reboot).
Frequent crash makes experience less than enjoyable. Bought the because I was fan of the original book but this game is nothing like the book series. They could of switched the names with any other world and it would of been same same but different.
Every time when a combat is about to start the game crash and the update did not fix it try to delete and reinstall same thing since book 3 came out. With old game or new game.
